This beautiful Fender Esquire '62 RI in Sunburst Burst was made by Fender Japan in 2002 and it is unplayed in excellent near mint condition. It has been in stacks of guitars in our warehouse for over a decade which accounts for the slight rust on the strings. Its original strings are unchanged. This guitar is unplayed. The capacitors on this Esquire are vintage replicas by Luxe Radio and look and sound absolutely beautiful. Being a completely cloth wired guitar with vintage caps, it literally looks like a guitar right out of 1962. Specifications on this 20 year old guitar are as follows:

In looking at this Esquire '62RI, it's interesting to see how Fender was in a mid-way transition between the '52 Telecaster and '62 Telecaster. Elements from the '52 include: Fender headstock label placement, round tree string guide, cloth wiring, barrel style switch tip, and elements from the '62 include double cream bindings, flat head knobs, and 3 ply pick guard. The Luxe Radio Capacitors and Kluson tuners attest to its vintage likeness.

This Esquire is in excellent condition and has only slight blemishes. See pics. The neck is straight. There is no fret wear. The tone on this 20 year Esquire is warm with full resonance. If you're looking for a piece of Fender history, you found an excellent guitar.

This guitar comes with chrome ashtray bridge cover, and gig bag.
