This is a 33 year old Fender Japan Dave Gilmour Stratocaster in excellent condition that was made in 1989/1990. Included are genuine Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘50s single coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge positions, 0001 serial numbered neck plate (like Dave’s), Dave Gilmour black leather (suede) guitar strap, anodized aluminum pick guard, Gotoh tuners and genuine Dave Gilmour Signature Series pack of strings (boomers 10-48) made by GHS included. (The actual strings on the guitar now are DiMarzio lights).
The guitar features all gold hardware which includes Fender tremolo bridge and arm, Gotoh tuners, jack plate, end pins, tree string and pick guard mounting screws. The neck plate and mounting screws, are chrome.
The neck is solid maple with a 7.25 radius, soft V profile (like Clapton’s), 42mm nut, 25.5 scale with vintage style frets. Fret wear is minimal on this guitar.
There are some very light blemishes as can be found in the pics, namely a small blemish on the top of the headstock, another by the “F” in Fender, and a bit where the neck and body meet.
If you’re a Dave Gilmour fan (like we proudly are), this guitar was built and meant for you.
By the way, if you’d like to see more pics of this guitar or ANY of our guitars, please let us know.
