This a rare find that came into the shop: a Greco SG in Heritage Cherry with tremolo that dates to the 1970's. The guitar is in particularly good condition for its age and as seen in the pictures has replaced tuners, Greco silloutte covered humbuckers, bridge, tailpiece and pickguard. From looking at the guitar, it seems that the back plate is not original to the guitar. The neck plate says Matsumoku - Made in Japan, which offers unsurpassed quality and is one of Japan's premier guitar manufacturers of the same level as the famous Fujigen Gakki of Fender Japan fame.
The guitar is in very good shape with only a few blemishes on it which can be seen on our GUITAR PICS page on this site. The beautiful grain of the body can be seen through the Heritage Cherry lacquer. The neck is straight with fretwear at a minimum. If you're into Townshend (like we are) or Angus Young, this 30 year old guitar is perfect for you. The guitar comes with a non-greco gig bag in black. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
