This beautiful Fender Esquire '54 RI in Tobacco Burst was made byFender Japan in 1999 and is in beautiful condition. The capacitors on this Esquire are vintage replicas and look and sound absolutely beautiful. Being a completely cloth wired guitar with vintage caps in it, it literally looks like a guitar right out of 1954. See GUITAR PICS page to see them. Specifications on the guitar are as follows:

In looking at this Esquire '54 RI, it's interesting to see how Fender was in a mid-way transition between the '52 Telecaster and '62 Telecaster. Elements from the '52 include: round tree string guide, solid maple neck, cloth wiring, barrel style switch tip, single ply pickguard and elements from the '62 include double cream bindings, flat head knobs, and 'new' location for the Fender logo.
This Esquire is in beautiful condition and has only slight blemishes. See our GUITAR PICS for pics of these. The neck is straight and fretwear is minimal. The tone on this 11 year Esquire is beautiful and it has a deep resonance. If youre looking for a piece of Fender history, you found an excellent guitar.
